NAHB Publication Offers Housing Professionals Tools to Help Boost Customer Satisfaction and Sales

BuilderBooks, the publishing arm of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), released a new edition of its popular home buying resource, Buying Your New Home: A Guide to Home Buying, Second Edition.

Buying a new home is one of the biggest investments a consumer will make in their lifetime. There are a lot of things to know during the buying and construction process, and builders can help their clients make this process easier by sharing this important resource. Buying Your New Home: A Guide to Home Buying, Second Edition, serves as a third-party tool that housing professionals can share with clients to walk them through the steps of the construction process with clarity and confidence.

“This new publication is an invaluable tool for building professionals to share with their current and prospective clients to walk them through all the ins and outs of buying a new home,” said NAHB Chairman Bill Owens, a home builder and remodeler from Worthington, Ohio. “Educating buyers during the process will help builders improve customer satisfaction, drive referrals, and increase sales.”

This essential guide takes the guesswork out of one of life’s biggest investments. Inside, readers will find:

  • Practical advice for selecting a builder, architect and community
  • Step-by-step guidance on budgeting, financing and contracts
  • Tips for designing and customizing a new home
  • Checklists to help stay organized from start to finish
  • Helpful insights into construction, inspections and orientation
  • What to expect at closing and how to make moving stress-free

The publication was designed as a tool for housing professionals including builders, architects, and realtors to share with current and potential buyers to educate them on the home buying process, build customer satisfaction and in turn help builders grow their business. This resource can be purchased in bulk, with books available in packs of 10.

Contributors to this booklet include Alan Barley, Kevin Harris and Peter Pfeiffer.
